Aquino names new drugs board head

President Benigno Aquino III has named Jorge DG Necesito acting executive director of the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB).

Malacañang released over the weekend the latest appointments made by the President in a text message from the office of Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr.

Mr. Aquino also named new members to the National Anti-Poverty Commission.

They were Delfa Taladi, member representing artisanal fisher folk; Norisa Sabirin, for children; Daniel Ang, for cooperatives; Ponyong Kaldos, indigenous cultural communities/peoples; Emerlito Rojas, persons with disabilities; Gloria Madayag, informal sector; Maria Cagay, victims of disasters and calamities; Marilou Tapia, farmers and landless rural workers; Marlon Manuel, urban poor; Teresa Fernandez, women, and Gibby Gorres, youth and students.
