Cebu ex-mayor dies
CEBU CITY –– The former mayor of Dumanjug town, south Cebu and younger brother of Cebu Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia has died, his family confirmed on Wednesday.
No immediate details were given as to the cause of death of Nelson Garcia.
“Words cannot express the deep sense of loss and grief for your untimely departure. Yoyoi was always the son, the brother, the husband, and the father I wish and have always aspired to be. I love you and will sorely miss you dearly,” said his other brother, former Government Service Insurance System President Winston Garcia, in a post on Facebook.
Governor Garcia announced last month that her other brother, Barili town Mayor Marlon Garcia was infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
