Manila offers P100K for brgys with zero COVID-19 case in Sept, Oct
MANILA, Philippines — The Manila City government will be giving a P100,000 incentive to every barangay in the city that will record zero new COVID-19 case for the months of September and October.
Manila Mayor Isko Moreno said they are now allotting P89,600,000 for the “challenge” available to all of Manila’s 896 barangays.
“In the next two months starting Sept 1 to Oct. 31, kapag kayo po ay walang nairehistro sa amin na walang impeksyon, walang new cases… ang baranggay niyo ay magkakamit ng P100,000,” Moreno said.
As of August 31, data from the Manila Public Information Office showed the city has 6,911 COVID-19 recoveries, 874 active cases, and 325 deaths.
