2 tricycle drivers, car sales agent nabbed in Ecija drug stings

TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija—Two tricycle drivers and a sales agent were arrested for allegedly selling illegal drugs to undercover agents in separate buy-bust operations here on Sunday (Aug. 30), police said.

Those arrested were identified as drivers Eduardo Panizales and Jaypee De Guzman, and car sales agent Rowell Victoria, all residents of Cabanatuan City.

The town police’s drug enforcement team recovered 14 sachets of suspected shabu, or crystal meth, and the marked money from the suspects, said Lt. Col. Alexie Desamito, municipal police chief.

Panizales was arrested after selling a sachet of shabu to an undercover policeman at the village of Pag-asa here past 11 a.m.

Some 30 minutes later, De Guzman and Victoria were arrested at the village of Esguerra here in another busy-bust operation.
