MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Archie Gamboa disclosed that he was invited to attend a supposed meeting that called for a revolutionary government to be led by President Rodrigo Duterte.

“Yes I have read it in the Viber. It’s supposed to be set yesterday but I am still trying to search for the communication kasi personally hindi pa umabot sa akin (because I haven’t personally received it yet.),” Gamboa said in an ambush interview with reporters after the burning of dangerous drugs in Cavite on Friday when asked about the reported invitation for a meeting for a revolutionary government.

The PNP leader said he would still look into this invitation to an event that was supposed to happen on Thursday, Aug. 20.

“So I think ang nakatanggap is PNP Directorate for Operations and then anyway tapos na yung supposed to be set na meeting. So titingnan ko kung ano ang magiging action nila kasi nga hindi natuloy yun,” he said.

Earlier, over 300 people trooped to Clark Freeport in Pampanga province to support the revolutionary government which will be led by the Duterte administration. The event was launched by the Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte-National Executive Coordinating Committee (MRRD-NECC).
