Muntinlupa City police chief dies at hospital
MANILA, Philippines — Muntinlupa City police chief Col. Hermogenes Cabe died at the Asian Medical Hospital in Alabang on Saturday. He was 53.
“It is with great sadness that we inform the public of the passing of PCol Hermogenes ‘Mac’ Cabe, former PNP Muntinlupa Chief of Police. PCol Cabe passed away on Saturday afternoon in Asian Medical Hospital, Alabang due to Upper GI (gastrointestinal) Bleeding,” Muntinlupa government said on Twitter.

The city government also extended its condolences to Cabe’s family as it lauded Cabe for his service to the city.
“The local government of Muntinlupa mourns and prays for his grieving family during this difficult time,” read the statement.
“With deep respect we say goodbye to an outstanding public servant. He may be gone but will never be forgotten,” it added.
Cabe was designated as police chief of Muntinlupa City last February this year. Prior to this, Cabe was the commander of the Eastern Police District Mobile Force Battalion.
