43 new cases hikes PNP’s COVID-19 tally to 1,643

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday night reported 43 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infections, bringing the total number of infections in the national police force to 1,643.

The PNP also announced in a social media post on Wednesday that two more police officers recovered from the disease, raising the total number of survivors to 612.

No new fatalities were recorded, as the death toll remained at nine.

The PNP is also monitoring 729 probable and 1,789 suspected COVID-19 cases.
