2-month-old baby among Western Visayas’ new COVID-19 patients
MANILA, Philippines — A 2-month-old baby boy from Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental, was among Western Visayas’ 21 new COVID-19 patients.
According to a case bulletin released Thursday by the Western Visayas Center for Health Development, the infant is currently in a quarantine facility and is now considered the youngest COVID-19 patient in Region VI.

The region’s total COVID-19 cases now stand at 353, including 148 recoveries and 11 deaths. Active cases are 194.
Returnees and repatriated overseas Filipino workers account for 244 or over 69 percent of the region’s total tally.
Meanwhile, Ilolilo province has 39 cases, Iloilo City has 29, Antique has 15, Bacolod City has 11, Capiz and Aklan has 6 each, and Negros Occidental has 3.

There are currently 38,805 COVID-19 cases nationwide, including 10,673 recoveries and 1,274 deaths.
