Suspected drug pusher falls in Quezon bust

LUCENA CITY –– Police, acting on tips from residents, arrested a suspected drug pusher in Sariaya town in Quezon province early Friday.

Sariaya police reported that anti-illegal drug operatives collared Van Benneth De Chavez, 30, after he sold a pack of “shabu” (crystal meth) to undercover police in a transaction in Barangay Mamala 2 at 3 a.m.

Authorities seized two plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P3,128.

De Chavez is facing charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
