Bus stops in the middle of Edsa questioned

/ 04:05 AM June 20, 2020

Sen. Nancy Binay on Friday questioned the decision of the Department of Transportation and the Metro Manila Development Authority to establish bus stops in the inner portion of Edsa.

The move, she argued, would not only expose passengers to unnecessary danger, but would also require infrastructures that the government would have to fund.

“How about the passengers? How will they go to the middle of Edsa? It will be a burden to senior citizen and persons with disability,” she said.

“What we see now are totally unrealistic and impractical transport plans,” Binay said in a statement.

“This is not the time to stretch experiments,” she said. —Marlon Ramos
