Survey: Life got worse for 83 percent of Filipinos
Majority, or 83 percent, of Filipinos said their quality of life has worsened in the past 12 months, according to results of the special Social Weather Stations survey conducted from May 4 to May 10 among 4,010 respondents through mobile phone and computer-assisted telephone interviews.
The poll showed that 10 percent believed their life remained the same, while 6 percent said it got better. The result broke the previous record of 62 percent in June 2008 who said their lives got worse.
Malacañang said the result was not surprising. “It should a 100 percent because there is COVID-19 and the economy was closed. We all suffered and President Duterte recognized that,” presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said. —Julie M. Aurelio and Inquirer Research
