CamSur man returning from Cebu brings 85th COVID-19 case to Bicol
LEGAZPI CITY—A 31-year-old man who came back from Cebu province on Monday (June 15) became Bicol region’s 85th COVID-19 patient, according to the Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday (June 16).
The patient, a resident of Lupi town, Camarines Sur, is now in a quarantine facility in Bula town, said Noemi Bron, health education and promotion officer of DOH in Bicol.
Since June 1, Bicol’s COVID-19 cases has risen by 11. Nine of the infected had travelled outside the region.
The latest case is the first in Lupi town and 14th in Camarines Sur.
The province of Cebu, now considered as a COVID-19 hot spot, has 2,455 cases of the disease as of Monday.
Bicol region has been on modified general community quarantine since the start of the month.
