Inter-town travel now allowed in Palawan
PUERTO PRINCESA CITY –– The inter-town travel restriction in Palawan has been lifted, allowing movement throughout the mainland province for all persons.
“Inter-municipal travel is allowed since yesterday. Travel pass or quarantine pass is no longer needed as long as the travel is within the province,” said Winston Arzaga, chief of the Provincial Information Office (PIO) on Wednesday.
He also said that travelers could still expect quarantine control points in strategic areas to check on minimum health standard compliance, such as wearing face masks, physical distancing, and proper sanitation.
Board Member Ryan Maminta also moved to lift the liquor ban throughout the province, which was unanimously concurred to by the provincial board.
The ordinance, however, is yet to be signed by Palawan Gov. Jose Alvarez.
