56-year-old health worker is 74th COVID-19 case in Bicol
LEGAZPI CITY—A 56-year-old village health worker coordinator in San Jose town in Camarines Sur became the 74th case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Bicol on Saturday (May 30).
According to the Department of Health (DOH) in Bicol, the woman tagged as Bicol#74 was a close contact of a nurse in Naga City. The nurse tested positive on May 16.
The patient is asymptomatic and is currently at a quarantine facility, according to the DOH report.
The report, however, does not specify where she is currently quarantined.
This new case is the twelfth case of COVID-19 in Camarines Sur province, which will ease down restrictions on Monday (June 1) as the entire Bicol region transitions to modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).
