Cavite governor sets 1-hour time limit for mallgoers
MANILA, Philippines — After ordering the closure of shopping malls, Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla on Tuesday detailed the conditions for the commercial establishments’ resumption of operations.
In his Facebook page, Remulla said this includes limiting the time of limited individuals inside the premises to one hour.
“May time card na iibigay sa bawat napasok ng mall. 1 hour (isang oras) lamang Ang pwede sa loob,” Remulla said.
(A time card will be issued to everyone entering the mall. They will be allowed inside the premises for only an hour.)

“Lalagyan ng quota ang pwedeng pumasok ng mall. Pag labas ng isa ay pasok ang sunod,” he added.

In supermarkets and groceries, Remulla said the public’s “conscience” will be their time limit.
“Tandaan, bilang ang supermarket kart na pwede pumasok. Pag may nalabas na isa ay saka lang may papasok. Kung akala ninyo na karapatan ninyo ang magtagal ay makonsensya naman kayo at marami din ang may kailangan mamili,” he said.
(Remember, only a number of supermarket carts are allowed inside. If one exits then another person is allowed to enter. If you think that it’s your right to stay longer, where is your conscience? Other people also need to buy their needs.)
Playing music inside the mall will also be prohibited, Remulla said, to prevent the public from lingering in the premises.
Apart from these, Remulla said malls’ operating hours must be from 10 am to 5 pm, with only one entrance and exit. He added that mall security should implement social distancing measures.
On Monday, Remulla announced the temporary closure of malls after social distancing was not observed when operations resumed after the province was placed under general community quarantine status from May 16 to 31.
