Taguig malls still closed for the weekend
MANILA, Philippines—Taguig City will keep its malls closed over the weekend as the local government tries to establish guidelines and protocols under the modified enhanced community quarantine.
Taguig branches of Ayala Malls, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, SM Supermalls, and Vista Mall will remain closed although supermarkets and essential businesses will still operate.
“We thank our partner stakeholders for working together with the city towards transitioning carefully, cautiously, and safely towards the new normal,” said the local government in a statement.
Metro Manila was placed under modified ECQ effective May 16 until May 31.
Under the modified ECQ, movement of people is still limited and those allowed to go out would only be for essential services or to go to work.
