MANILA, Philippines — Caloocan City will investigate a barangay chief who allegedly asked a beneficiary to give him half of the P8,000 cash aid he received from the national government.

Mayor Oscar Malapitan said he would give Barangay 127 chair Lee Vitug 48 hours to explain why he supposedly asked a beneficiary to give him P4,000 from the dole he got from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
