BOC seizes more illicit cigarettes from China

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has seized two shipments of illicit cigarettes, valued at P34.7 million, from China.

The shipments were intercepted at the Port of Manila on April 27 and May 1.

Authorities also seized P200 million worth of fake cigarettes in Valenzuela City on May 1 and P8.3 million worth of fake cigarettes in Zamboanga City in April. —BEN O. DE VERA
