/ 05:14 AM April 30, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner Rowena Guanzon said overseas registration had been suspended until June 30 due to the extension of the enhanced community quarantine.

The holding of the first Resident Election Registration Board (RERB) hearing to apply for registration as overseas voter is likewise postponed from May 20 to July 20.

The RERB hearing set on July 20 will cover applications for the first and second quarters (Dec. 16, 2019 to June 30, 2020).

“The said postponement and extension, however, are still subject to an earlier termination or extension as conditions so warrant,” said Guanzon.
