New quarantine to open at Philippine Arena
MANILA, Philippines — A 300-bed quarantine will soon open at the sprawling Philippine Arena Complex in Bulacan.
The project is led by the Department of Public Works and Highways, the Iglesia ni Cristo, and the MVP Group of Companies.
The new quarantine in Ciudad de Victoria, Bocaue, Bulacan, is expected to decongest the country’s hospitals. It will be completed by Wednesday.
“This is another testament to the effective collaboration among the public and private sectors,” MVP Group chair Manuel V. Pangilinan said in a statement.
The new quarantine will be turned over to the Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 when completed.
