Suspected COVID-19 patient who died tests negative in Camarines Sur
PILI, Camarines Sur –– The 26-year-old suspected coronavirus (COVID-19) patient, who died on Saturday, has tested negative for the virus in Naga City.
The patient, who was from Ragay town, reportedly died due to severe pneumonia.
Ragay Mayor Thaddy Ramos, said they have received the official result issued by the Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory in Legazpi City regarding the suspected case.
“The 26-year-old patient was NEGATIVE for SARS-Cov 2 (causative agent of COVID-19), thus, we continue to be COVID-19-free here in Ragay,” he said.
Ramos said that even with the negative result, he encouraged everyone to continue following the precautionary measures recommended by the Department of Health to avoid the spread of the virus.
