Nueva Vizcaya records new COVID-19 infection
SANTIAGO CITY — Local health officials in Nueva Vizcaya on Saturday reported a new case of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Dr. Napoleon Obaña, Region 2 Trauma Medical Center (R2TMC) medical center chief, said the patient is a 72-year-old man from Aritao town with no travel history but has a relative who came from Cavite province.
The patient was first admitted to the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Hospital but was later transferred to the R2TMC after his swab test.
Five other COVID-19 cases in Nueva Vizcaya had already recovered while the province had recorded one death due to the disease.
In Cagayan province, health officials had recorded zero cases in the last two weeks.
