Policemen infected with COVID-19 rise to 50

MANILA, Philippines — The number of police personnel infected with coronavirus has risen to 50, according to Lt. Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, the chief of the Joint Task Force Corona Virus Shield.

The Philippine National Police also has another 254 probable new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, and 348 suspected cases, based on the new categories issued by the Department of Health.

As of 6 p.m. on April 11, the PNP had reported 27 confirmed cases, three deaths and four recoveries. But Eleazar assured there were facilities for affected personnel in various PNP camps.
