MANILA, Philippines — Quezon City government said it would implement a lockdown in the Balintawak Market if social distancing will not be strictly implemented while the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon is in effect.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, the city government said it constantly monitors the markets swarming with residents buying their essential needs but without consideration to the protocols of the quarantine, such as observing physical distance of persons from one another.
