/ 04:02 AM April 07, 2020

MANILA, Philippines — PLDT Inc.’s Smart Communications will provide free high-speed internet to newly renovated new coronavirus disease facilities in Metro Manila.

PLDT said in a statement that its fiber-powered Smart Wi-Fi, with a capacity of 1 gigabyte per second, would be available in Ninoy Aquino Stadium at Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Philippine International Convention Center Tent and World Trade Center.

These facilities were among several that would be converted into makeshift health care facilities to decongest Metro Manila’s overflowing hospitals. —Miguel R. Camus
