BAGUIO CITY — Six men were apprehended on Sunday (Palm Sunday, April 5) for playing bingo in violation of quarantine rules that prohibit assemblies to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), as well as gambling laws, police said.

Tipped off, policemen caught Walter Dayao, Patrick Mangawa, Jasper Balusdan, Marcial Bolduken, Marvin Cayawen, and Christian Decina Bayao, playing bingo for money at what appeared to be a billiard hall in Barangay (village) West Quirino Hill at 1:30 p.m.

The establishment’s owner, Dexter Valintin, is currently at large.

Baguio is completing a month-long Luzon lockdown which will lapse on April 12.
