Document stating date of Bar exam release is fake-Justice Bernabe
MANILA, Philippines — Supreme Court Associate Justice Estela Perlas-Bernabe, chairperson of the 2019 Bar Examination on Thursday called as fake the document making rounds in social media and various electronic platforms that the Bar exam result will be released on April 10.
“There is a spurious document currently circulating in social media and in various electronic messaging platforms stating that the results of the 2019 Bar Examinations will be released on a certain date,” Bernabe said in a statement.
“As Chairperson of the 2019 Bar Examination, I categorically state that the information is false,” she said.
Bernabe said the High Court has yet to meet en banc to decide on the schedule of the release of the Bar exam result.
She said an investigation is being conducted to identify those responsible for the fake document.
“Those responsible shall be accordingly dealt with,” Bernabe said.
The magistrate is referring to a document that purportedly came from her office announcing the date of the release of the examination result. The document bears her signature. But the lower-left portion of the document said it was supposed to be an April Fools Day joke.
