3 found positive in Bagong Silang, Caloocan
MANILA, Philippines —Barangay Bagong Silang in Caloocan City — the largest village in the country in terms of land area and population — will be placed under lockdown after three residents tested positive for the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In a Facebook post, Barangay Bagong Silang chair Joel Bacolod said the lockdown would begin Sunday midnight. Under Resolution No. 11 of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious disease, “a barangay-wide quarantine is advised when there are at least two positive COVID-19 cases belonging to different households in the same barangay.”
Bacolod said that the barangay will be sealed off.
