DSWD waives requirements on 4Ps amid pandemic
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Thursday said that it has waived the conditionalities for the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), amid the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
Normally, family-beneficiaries have to fulfill certain requirements to be able to receive their cash grants.
Requirements range from class attendance of their children to attendance in health programs and seminars arranged by the department.
However, according to DSWD spokesperson Irene Dumlao, the department has decided to waive the conditions for February and March.
“They will also receive [benefits] from the social amelioration package,” Dumlao told reporters. —PATRICIA DENISE M. CHIU
