Bicol stays free of COVID-19 as 10 more patients discharged

GUINOBATAN, Albay—Ten more patients being watched for novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) were discharged on Friday (March 20), according to the Department of Health in Bicol.

This brings the number of discharged patients in the region to 32, with 14 of the discharged still awaiting lab test results. Eighteen have all tested negative.

The number of persons under investigation (PUI), or those showing symptoms, remained at seven in the region—one in Camarines Norte, three in Albay and three in Camarines Sur.

Local government units in the region have listed 97,215 persons under monitoring, or those showing no symptoms but had traveled to infected places or had contact with infected persons, still being watched.

At least 516 PUM had already completed quarantine, according to the DOH.
