Banking hours in Albay shortened due to COVID-19

LEGAZPI CITY – Banking hours in Albay province was shortened to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In a resolution, the Albay Bankers Association said instead of 3 p.m., the bank operations would be until 1 p.m. only.

“It will give the member banks reasonable time to commute back to their respective residences where all means of public transportation are suspended,” it said.

The resolution was in support of the declaration of enhanced community quarantine in the entire Luzon and the closure of all borders in the province.
