Expect fair, hot Thursday weather – Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies, or warm winds coming from the Pacific Ocean, continues to affect the eastern part of the country and will bring hot and humid weather in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In a weather update on Thursday, Pagasa weather specialist Ariel Rojas said no weather disturbance is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next two to three days.

Pagasa said only a few areas in Luzon, such as Metro Manila and the Bicol region, will have isolated rain showers.

The rest of Luzon will have generally fair weather and only a slight chance of rain.

Temperature in Metro Manila will range from a low of 23 degrees Celsius to a high 34 degrees Celsius later in the afternoon, according to Pagasa.

The state weather bureau did not raise any gale warning but advised that going out to sea may not be allowed in  areas under an enhanced community quarantine.

The whole archipelago, according to Pagasa, will have light to moderate east winds with slight to moderate (0.6 to 2.1 meters) coastal waters.
