LUCENA CITY –– Two street-level “shabu” (crystal meth) pushers were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here on Friday night, police said Saturday.

Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said in a report that joint police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives collared tricycle driver Guillermo Silang Jr. after he sold shabu to a police agent in a drug deal in Barangay Market View around 8 p.m.

Authorities confiscated 17 plastic sachets of shabu (crystal meth) with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P154,632. Meth is being sold here at P6,800 per gram.

The suspect would be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./lzb
