French national found dead in Lapu-Lapu hotel

A 41-YEAR-OLD French national was found dead in his hotel room in barangay Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City.

The body of Jean Marc Stephane Brockis was already decomposing when found by personnel of the North Point Management Resort shortly before 6 p.m. last Thursday.

Police said hotel staff decided to open his room when a swarm of flies were found at the window.

Police said Brockis had no external injuries and that there were no signs of struggle in the room.

Police said the foreigner was last seen alive entering his room last Dec. 24.

The French consulate has been informed of the foreigner’s death.
