12 bouts to headline Fight Ground C’ship
AFTER two successful fights last year, the Fight Ground Championships returns to the spotlight as it stages its third edition on Feb. 18 at the Days Hotel in Mandaue City.
Backfist Promotions headed by president Joseph Lanoza said the event will feature the best fighters in the region.
12 exciting mixed martial arts bouts will be featured in this fight card, including two title fights in different categories.
Fresh from his dominating performance last Nov. 26 against the heavily favored Mark “The Terminator” Araneta in Fight Ground II, Romelo Espra will step inside the ring once again against Aldy Sosa of Bullet Muay Thai for a championship title in the main event.
Also returning inside the ring is veteran Jonjier “The Dangerous” Torbiso, who will go up against Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) veteran Analito Siloy also in a championship bout in the main supporting event.
Torbiso bowed to SOMA Fight Club’s Joerick Rivera in the main event of Fight Ground II last year via submission.
