TUGUEGARAO CITY –– Philippine Coast Guard personnel continue to search for 10 fishermen who went missing in the waters off Northern Luzon.

Marine Captain Jojit Ofiaza, Naval Forces Northern Luzon spokesperson, said two of the fishermen were first reported missing in Burgos, Ilocos Norte on February 25 when their outrigger boat capsized due to strong waves.

Their fishing trip usually takes two to three hours a day, Ofiaza said.

He said seven other fishermen from Pangasinan remained missing, while another from Zambales has been missing for two months now.

Ofiaza said his office was still validating the names of the missing fishermen.
