The Mandaue City government has set up one-stop-shops in four areas to make it easier for taxpayers to renew their business permits starting Jan. 1 until Jan. 20.

Regal Oliva, City Treasurer, said that these one-stop-shops could give their clients a hassle-free service in renewing their business permits and licenses.

Oliva said that instead of the three to five days of renewal processing, these shops could process their clients’ documents in 30 minutes.

Oliva said that the Georgraphic Information System (GIS) helped them a lot.“We can easily spot who are the delinquent taxpayers and asked the team to go and personally collect the taxes,” he added.

Though the Mandaue City hospital has a deficit of P11 million, Oliva said it could still be compensated by the other revenue-generating offices and departments of Mandaue City Hall.
