No confirmed 2019-nCoV case, only 6 PUIs in Caloocan hospital

MANILA, Philippines — A hospital in Tala, Caloocan announced that they were not treating patients infected with the novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019-nCoV ARD).

In a Facebook post, the Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Memorial Hospital and Sanitarium said there were only six persons being monitored for suspected novel coronavirus. He said the six patients have been isolated.

“There are (6) Persons Under Investigation (PUIs) but NO CONFIRMED nCoV 2019 CASE in the hospital,” read the statement on Wednesday night.

The hospital’s management also advised the public to refer to their website and Facebook page on updates about the novel coronavirus: @officialtalahospital, https://djnrmh.doh.gov.ph/

The number of persons under investigation (PUIs) for suspected 2019-nCoV ARD has soared to 178 in the Philippines, the Department of Health earlier said.
