NCRPO cops’ donation to Taal Volcano victims reach P3 million
MANILA, Philippines — Cops from all over Metro Manila have donated an estimated total of P3-million to aid victims of the Taal volcano eruption, the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) said Tuesday.
NCRPO chief Brig. Gen. Debold Sinas said the amount represents at least a day’s worth of regular cops’ combat duty pay, and a month’s worth of combat duty pay of higher-ranked police officials.
“Majority of our people, except ‘yung mga affected [ng Taal Volcano eruption], ay nagbigay at majority po ng officers namin ay nagbigay ng one month na stipend nila ng combat duty pay,” Sinas told reporters at a press conference.
