Woman survives stray bullet hit
MANILA, Philippines — A woman survived after being hit by a bullet while walking home in Tondo, Manila Monday night, police said.
Superintendent Jemar Modequillo, commander of Station 2 of the Manila Police District, said that Andrea Javier, 23, was on her way home when she sustained a gunshot wound on her left thigh while standing at the corner of Kagitingan and Moriones Streets at 11 p.m.
He said that the culprits were two unidentified suspects on board a Honda Wave motorbike with plate number 5321-MT.
Javier was treated for her gunshot wound at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center and has been discharged since.
