Did You Know: National Cancer Consciousness Week

/ 04:00 AM January 13, 2020

National Cancer Consciousness Week is observed every third week of January by virtue of Proclamation No. 1348 signed on Nov. 12, 1974, by then President Ferdinand Marcos.

According to the proclamation, there is a necessity to increase public awareness of the dangers of this dreaded disease on top of cancer prevention and control.

This year’s event will be observed from Jan. 13 to 19.
