Magnitude 4.9, 4.5 quakes hit Borazjan, Iran
MANILA, Philippines — Two earthquakes of magnitudes 4.9 and 4.5 successively struck Borazjan, Iran on Wednesday.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the initial magnitude 4.9 earthquake was located at 10 kilometers (km) southeast of the city at 10:20 a.m. Philippine time (Universal Time Coordinated: 2:20)
The magnitude 4.5 earthquake meanwhile struck at 11:19 a.m. (UTC: 3:19) and was located at 17 km south-southeast of Borazjan.
Both earthquakes had a tectonic depth of 10 km.
