MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang on New Year’s Eve expresses its hope for a better quality of life for Filipinos and an improved economy for the Philippines.

In his New Year message, presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo said that just like all other nations, the government looks forward to a better quality of life for the people and an improved economy for the country in the coming year.

“We are no exception,” Panelo said, as he relayed President Duterte’s wish for “Filipinos all over the globe (to have) a healthy, joyous and prosperous New Year.”
