2 men caught with ‘shabu,’ gun in QC

MANILA, Philippines — Two men were arrested on Tuesday in Quezon City after the police found in their possession “shabu” (crystal meth) worth over P400,000, marijuana and an unlicensed firearm.

Brig. Gen. Ronnie Montejo, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director, identified the suspects as Billyser Villeta and Rodolfo Viola, both 41 years old, from Barangay Culiat.

According to a police report, antidrug operatives from the Talipapa police station raided the suspects’ house on Central Avenue in Culiat.

They found 60 grams of shabu worth P408,000 in addition to 10 grams of dried marijuana worth P2,000 and a 9-mm Norinco pistol with six bullets.

On top of drug charges, Villeta and Viola would also be charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition in the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
