‘Tisoy’ leaves 3 dead, 26 hurt in Masbate
LEGAZPI CITY –– After ravaging the Bicol region, Typhoon “Tisoy” (international name: Kammuri), left three dead in Masbate province, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) reported.
The unidentified victims were from the towns of Aroroy, Claveria, and Monreal.
The disaster management office also confirmed 26 injured individuals from Aroroy, Baleno, Claveria, Uson, and Masbate City.
The province of Masbate has declared a state of calamity, including six of its towns, Pio V. Corpuz, Cawayan, Uson, Dimasalang, Esperanza, and Mobo.
As of Wednesday, 1,142 houses were recorded damaged and 677 were destroyed, according to PDRRMO.
The disaster management council placed the damage to agriculture at P205.1 million and to infrastructure at P84.18 million./lzb
