LOOK: Tisoy cuts a path of destruction through PH

MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Tisoy left a path of destruction as it continued to cut through parts of Southern Luzon and the Visayas on Tuesday.

Schools and homes were not spared, as seen in some photos shared by the Philippine Red Cross (PRC).

Windows were broken and roofs were blown away in several buildings in Manito National High School and Manito Central School after Tisoy hit the province of Albay.

The PRC said a truck was also “brought down” by Tisoy’s strong winds. Photos show an electrical post that collapsed on top of the truck.

Several structures also collapsed while trees that were pulled out by strong winds lay on the streets.

In Ticao Island in Masbate, two houses in a coastal barangay were also damaged.

What seems to be a portion of a house can also be seen blown away in the middle of Maharlika Highway in Pagbilao, Quezon.

According to the 2 p.m bulletin of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (Pagasa), Tisoy made landfall over Naujan, Oriental Mindoro at 12:30 p.m.

Tisoy has maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph.
