Brunei sultan visits Malacañang for bilateral meet with Duterte

MANILA, Philippines –Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei arrived at Malacañang Palace for an official visit ahead of the opening ceremony of the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games on Saturday.

In a live video, Sultan Bolkiah attended a welcome ceremony at the Malacañang where he is expected to meet with President Rodrigo Duterte for a bilateral meeting.

Sultan Bolkiah will also show his support for Brunei’s athletes who will compete for the SEA Games which is hosted by the Philippines.

The opening ceremony for the 2019 SEA Games will be held on Philippine Arena in Bulacan. Duterte is also expected to grace the event.
