Human trafficking suspect nabbed in Bohol
TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) arrested an alleged human trafficker and rescued four women here Tuesday afternoon.
Lawyer Glenn Damasing of the National Bureau of Investigation NBI-Bohol, said the women, aged 26, 27, 30, and 40 were allegedly being sold for sex for P3,500 to P4,000 each.
“The case stemmed from information received by NBI regarding the human trafficking operations of the suspect,” Damasing said.
The alleged pimp, Rosalina Angalot, 49, a resident of Tagbilaran City, was arrested at around 5 p.m. in an operation inside a resort.
The victims were brought to NBI Office where they were interviewed by Cerina Sia, the officer-in- charge of the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
