Farmers from nearby provinces can now sell their harvest directly to consumers in Quezon City through a weekend market at the Quezon Memorial Circle.

Mayor Joy Belmonte said the Fresh Market will be held every Saturday and Sunday to provide additional livelihood to farmers and give local residents access to affordable farm produce.

According to Mona Celine Yap, head of the Small Business Cooperatives Development Promotions Office, Fresh Market is open from 6 a.m. onward on Saturdays and 6 a.m. to 12 noon on Sundays.—MARIEJO S. RAMOS
