Security guard slain, another wounded in clash with Pampanga cops
ANGELES CITY — A security guard was killed while another was wounded during an encounter with policemen here, authorities said Monday.
Police Col. Joyce Patrick Sangalang, Angeles City police chief, said the two security guards were suspects in the killing of another security guard working for a Korean mart on Fields Avenue here.
The suspects could be involved in the trade or distribution of illegal drugs, according to Sangalang.
It was not immediately known if the suspects’ clients were foreigners or locals.
Sangalang said the shootout took place at the back of a public school in Barangay Mining early Monday morning.
He has yet to identify the guards or their company pending a full investigation. Tonette Orejas
